Country Profile Questionnaire 2015

May 21, 2015

Dear Focal Points and colleagues,

RAC/REMPEITC-Caribe is proud to have served the marine environmental training, communication and exercise needs of the Wider Caribbean Region for over 20 years. We strive to continue and improve our contributions to the Region in the next decade and beyond.  Essential to this effort, RAC/REMPEITC-Caribe requests that you complete the attached questionnaire.

The information gathered in this questionnaire (doc, pdf) will be shared with other organizations (IMO, UNEP, ITOPF and others) and will help us to best direct limited resources to improve the environmental response preparedness of your country and the Wider Caribbean Region.

This survey requests more environmental response preparedness information than is captured in your Country Maritime Profile located in IMO's Global Integrated Shipping Information System (GISIS), however you will note some overlap.  You, or your designee, are encouraged to take this opportunity to update your Country Profile in GISIS while completing our questionnaire.  Please let us know if you are not the appropriate focal point for completing this survey.

The more thorough and accurate your information, the better we can assist the specific needs of your country and the Region.  Again, to ensure your country's needs are reflected in our future work plan, we ask that the attached questionnaire is completed and returned by March 10, 2015 to:

Ms. Carla Bikker (carla@cep.unep.org), CDR Paul Lattanzi (plattanzi@cep.unep.org) and Mr. Vassilis Tsigourakos (vtsigourakos@cep.unep.org).

Thank you
